Mally the lurcher is looking for a forever home.

A LOCAL charity is keen to find a home for a friendly dog that wagged his tail so much he injured it and had to have it removed.

Volunteers at KWK9 Rescue are baffled as to why Mally the lurcher hasn’t been adopted yet and have launched an appeal to find him a loving home.

Trustee Jodie Wilson said: "Mally came into our care at the beginning of March and we were sure he wouldn’t be waiting long for a home. However, he ended up injuring his tail from wagging it so much that sadly it required amputation. This meant we held off on finding him a home until it was all healed up.

"He has now been with his foster home for over 250 days and is such a fantastic dog that we are left wondering why there has been so little interest.

"He is an all-round fantastic dog. His favourite thing to do is to curl up beside the kids to lap up all the attention he can get.

"He is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than spending time with people, be it out on a leisurely walk or sitting in front of the fire."

Mally is around four years old and will need to be the only pet in the home to make sure he gets all the attention he deserves.

Jodie added: “Everyone that meets him loves his personality and comments on how lovely he is. We would just love if someone could find room in their life to slot him in as he will make a fantastic companion."

KWK9 Rescue is staffed fully by volunteers and is funded entirely by donations. It does not have a set adoption fee and requests only a donation for adoption as its priority is to find the perfect home for each dog.
