A new information panel has been sited outside the Community Café near Thurso harbour to highlight ancient sites associated with early Celtic saints in Caithness.

Jane Coll, treasurer of the Northern Saints Trails Group (NSTG), was there at the unveiling along with community activist and Highland Council election candidate Alexander Glasgow who tends the flower planter the panel is attached to.

The panel was organised by NSTG and gives details of the first two of the group's six Caithness routes linking the sites of the early Celtic saints in the county. There are also brief notes on the other four routes and on the Northern Pilgrims’ Way – the re-established medieval pilgrimage route between Tain and Kirkwall. The NSTG was formed in 2017 to promote greater knowledge of the Celtic saints associated with Caithness. Further information can be found at www.northernpilgrimsway.co.uk
