Highland Council Election: The full list of those standing to represent Caithness in the Highland Council election on May 5 is revealed with both wards attracting a total of 12 candidates for eight representatives
Both Caithness wards will be contested by a total of 12 candidates who have entered the race to represent the far north.
Each of the wards will have four members with Thurso and Northwest Caithness and Wick and East Caithness attracting six candidates each.
Between the two six candidates were councillors in the current term while some names may be familiar to the electorate having stood in national elections.
Voters will go to the polls on May 5 to elect a new Highland Council.
Thurso and Northwest Caithness:
Alexander Glasgow – Independent

Iain Gregory – Independent
Ron Gunn – Scottish Liberal Democrats
Struan Scottish Mackie – Conservative and Unionist
Matthew Reiss – Independent
Karl Rosie Scottish National Party (SNP)
Wick and East Caithness:
Raymond Bremner – Scottish National Party (SNP)
Bill Fernie – Independent
Andrew Jarvie – Scottish Conservative and Unionist
Neil MacDonald – Scottish Labour Party
