Hannah takes Young Farmers’ overwintered championship

Hannah Levack of Dunbeath won the Young Farmers’ overwintered championship after a show and sale at Caithness Livestock Centre with a Limousin cross heifer.

The champion was purchased by the show judge, Angus Greenlaw, Sheep Park Farm, Bridge of Marnoch.

Hannah, of Dunbeath Mains, also took the reserve with another cross Limousin heifer.

Show sponsors were A H Mackay, West Greenland.

Sophie Gunn, The Shein, Hill of Forss, received the special prize awarded by the Scottish and Northern Charolais Club for the highest-placed Charolais cross calf at the show and sale.

Dunbeath Farms also won the North of Scotland Newspapers Trophy when they took the open championship at Caithness Livestock Centre's spring show and sale of store cattle with a cross Limousin heifer.
