Halkirk man admits punching victim at Thurso garage

A Halkirk man will be sentenced next month for an assault he committed at a Thurso garage.

Shaun Webster (25) admitted having punched David Manson to his severe injury and impairment, causing him to fall to the ground.

The incident took place at the Jet Garage, in Ormlie Road, Thurso, on October 13, last year, Wick Sheriff Court was told on Tuesday.

The case was continued for a background report until June 27 when Sheriff Mark Lindsay will hear details of the incident and consider Mr Manson's victim statement.

The address given at court for Webster, who appeared on indictment, was Dale View, Torbuie Road, Halkirk.
