Caithness crofter Sally Crowe was the guest speaker at Wick and District Gardening Club’s latest meeting in the Nethercliffe Hotel.

After being introduced by vice-chairperson Lilian Wark, Sally took members on her journey from being selected to the actual filming of the BBC TV series This Farming Life.

Members found it very interesting and entertaining to hear all about her experiences of taking part in the programme. Club member Norma Craven thanked Sally.

After club business had been discussed, tea was served and the raffle drawn.

The next event is an open meeting in the Norseman Hotel on Tuesday, June 10, starting at 7.30pm. Guest speaker Keith Brand will talk about gladioli, pinks and herbaceous plants.

Tickets are available from Gail’s Gift Box, Virginia Miller (01955 602700) or Jeanette Coghill (07880 963682). The price is £5 including tea.
