A HUSBAND who put his wife’s life in danger by grabbing the steering wheel and pulling on the handbrake of the car she was driving has been asked to prove he can stay out of further trouble.

Mark Kime (49), of Tigh Na Muir, Dunnet appeared at Wick Sheriff Court on Friday having previously pleaded guilty to two charges last month.

He admitted arguing with his wife and acting aggressively towards her by grabbing her neck to prevent her leaving the car in Thurso town centre on December 20.

Kime also admitted recklessly grabbing the steering wheel of the moving car, causing it to swerve, while his wife was driving from Thurso to Mey on the same evening.

The court heard he caused car to skid, endangering his wife as well as himself.

Sheriff Andrew Berry deferred sentence for six months for Kime to be of good behaviour.
