A TRIO of friends "let some steam off" at Reiss Beach on Sunday evening as they prepared for a hard week ahead entertaining young children in Wick.

Evangeline Collard, Mhairi Shrimpton and Georgia Bayes were accompanied by Anne Burt from Wick as they took a dip in the cool of Sinclair's Bay. The girls had travelled north from Dundee and Yorkshire to help with a four-day kids' club currently running at the Wick Harbour Mission on Martha Terrace until Friday (July 19).

Evangeline said: "We're up here to help with a holiday bible club for Wick Harbour Mission and support them. There are all sorts of activities for children and a parents' evening on the Friday too."

Anne said that the girls were just letting off a bit of steam after all the travelling and hard work they had done in preparation for this week's Kids' Club. Activities include games, crafts, stories and challenges.
