The brand new series of The Highland Vet is proving to be full of surprises with lots of unusual patients continuing to keep the local vets busy.

Meanwhile practice director Guy Godon faces a multitude of problems when boxer dog George arrives with a bleeding abscess in his mouth. Guy decides it needs to be removed and sent off for tests but once the procedure is under way, he realises there is more than one lump in the six-year old’s mouth.

Vet David Mackay is kept busy when he is called to help Mackay the alpaca who was found limping by his owner. On inspection David finds a painful looking wound on the alpaca's pad and after precautionary medication is administers, it is decided a sample of the swelling needs to be analysed.

Equine specialist Tom Southall is on the road too, he has been called to one of his regular clients, local horse breeder Ashley. She has noticed her 10-month-old colt Calvin has a hernia and is also getting a bit grumpy with his stable mates. Tom decides two procedures are required to resolve the situation.
