Four Thurso youths arrested after six-week crime spree

Police Scotland released information this afternoon about a spate of crimes in Thurso that culminated in four young males being arrested and charged.

The statement issued just after 2pm today (January 27) said: "Following police enquiries into incidents of vandalism, housebreakings and disorder in Thurso, officers have arrested and charged four male youths.

"The four males are aged between 12 and 15 years old."

The four youths have been charged with a number of offences including, vandalism, culpable and reckless conduct, carrying an offensive weapon, theft, attempted break-in and assault.

The offences happened at various locations in Thurso, including Provost Sinclair Road and occurred over a six-week period in December and January.

All four youths have been referred to the Children’s Reporter, stated the police brief.
