A Forss man is alleged to have assaulted three men by driving his car at each of them in turn in Thurso.

The 31-year-old denies three charges of assault and failing to stop and report an accident, on April 28.

Sutherland also entered pleas of not guilty at Wick Sheriff Court on Monday to a separate series of unrelated charges.

These accuse him of forcing open a locked shed at Brims House, Brims Mains Road, Forss, on September 18, 2023, and stealing a quantity of oil from a tank.

Sutherland is further accused of abusive behaviour at Scrabster, between April 27 and May 3, 2024, and threatening a man with violence and shouting at him.

In yet another charge, Sutherland, of Orkney View Cottage, Brims Mains Road, is alleged to have assaulted the same man at Dunnet's Garage, Thurso, on May 3, seized hold of him and repeatedly punched him.

Trials in both series of charges were fixed for March 18.
