Forss distillery to hold cocktail masterclass as part of Far North Spirits and Beer Festival
A cocktail-making masterclass is being held this week at North Point Distillery as part of the inaugural Far North Spirits and Beer Festival.
It is the first event of its kind by the Forss distillery and will feature a range of seasonal cocktails in the newly renovated tasting room.
Head distiller Greg Benson said: “It is incredibly exciting to be part of the festival and to bring our own unique North Point take on a cocktail masterclass.
“I have picked some really interesting cocktails that will ensure our participants get hands-on with our award-winning range of spirits. It should be a really fun evening."
Commercial director Alex MacDonald welcomed the introduction of the month-long festival and said it was an exciting time to be involved in the Caithness food and drink sector:

“The Far North Spirits and Beer Festival is a great opportunity for Caithness to showcase our world-class products," he said.
"The far north is fast becoming a centre of excellence for spirits and this is great for creating opportunities and promoting our area to the world.
“Our cocktail-making masterclass will be hosted in our newly refurbished tasting room which represents a significant investment in our distillery and our workforce.
"We look forward to welcoming guests at what will be a unique event at the distillery. The cocktail menu is really exciting and our head distiller Greg is excited to get stuck in."
The masterclass takes place on Friday at 6.30pm. Tickets are available on the North Point Distillery website.
The Far North Spirits and Beer Festival was launched as part of the recent Taste North food and drink festival in Wick.
