PLANS have been approved to transform a former special needs care home in Latheron into a guesthouse with café and craft shop.

Forse of Nature has announced it is aiming to open at the former Forse House Care Home by Easter after Highland Council approved planning permission for a change of use of the site.

Inverness entrepreneur Jason Waters said work at the building is expected to begin this month and is aiming for the café and craft shop to be open by April.

It is also planned to operate a guesthouse which will offer up to 20 rooms.
