Firefighters needeed for Dunbeath and Helmsdale stations

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is currently recruiting for two of its north fire stations.

The emergency service is looking to recruit on-call firefighters for its Helmsdale and Dunbeath stations.

A spokesperson for the service said: "If you live or work in the Helmsdale and Dunbeath area and are physically fit, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

"We are particularly keen to hear from people who can provide daytime and weekend availability."

No previous experience is required but candidates must be over 18, eligible to work in the UK, have a good level of physical fitness and meet the required standard of vision and colour perception.

They must also be readily available to attend at the stations within a specified time of an emergency call.

SFRS offers two contracts whereby firefighters commit to either 120 or 90 hours availability per week.
