Fine over bump in Thurso parking area

A Halkirk woman who failed to stop after an accident she caused was fined £300 at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Seventy-eight-year-old Ann Warner also incurred six penalty points after she pleaded guilty.

The court heard that she collided with a vehicle while pulling away from a parking area in Janet Street, Thurso, on August 28, last year.

Solicitor Josey Donnachie said that Warner, of Halkirk, was hard of hearing and added that it was possible she wasn’t aware of the accident.
