Fine for unauthorised firearms use at Latheron

A Latheron man who admitted using a firearm without a licence was fined £300 at Wick Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Glenn Hitchcock (50) pleaded guilty to the offence which occurred near his home, at Kyle Croft, Lower Smerral, Latheron, on a single date between February 1, 2000 and June 30, 2021.
The court was told that the accused's wife held a certificate for the firearm which her husband had borrowed on the day in question.
