Find out about Camster regeneration plans at public events





A new charity organisation that intends to restore blanket bogs and develop land for recreational purposes in the Camster area is holding public consultation events.

The recently formed Camster Peatland Regeneration SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) has leased a 400ha moorland site in the Flow Country.

Camster Peatland Regeneration (CPR) has set its sights on the sustainable, accessible land near Camster Cairns and is being pushed along by factor Peter Darmady and Louise Smith, CPR project manager, who are busy preparing for consultation events to discuss their plans with the community.

Public consultation events are planned as follows:

• Watten Village Hall on Wednesday, August 28 from 1.30 to 6.30pm.

• Latheron Hall on Thursday, September 5 from 1.30 - 6.30pm.
