Inverness to Wick and Kyle of Lochalsh trains cancelled after fault at level crossing says Scotrail

Trains between Kyle of Lochalsh and Inverness and Wick to Inverness have been cancelled this morning.

This is following a fault with barriers at a level crossing.

Disruption is expected to last until around 9am today (July 15).

Scotrail said: “We had a telecoms fault which was affecting all level crossings on the Kyle and Wick Lines.

“Staff have worked through the night to rectify the fault.

“Disruption may be ongoing until crews and trains are back into position.”
