FAR North football fans travelling to the Ross County v Celtic cup tie at Dingwall tonight have been urged to set off early and allow themselves plenty of time to get to the match.

The Bhoys are travelling to Victoria Park for the third-round clash in the Scottish Communities League Cup.

The cup game is being hotly anticipated in Ross-shire as Staggies fans hope history can repeat itself.

Ross County famously dumped Celtic out of the Scottish Cup at the semi-final stage last year at Hampden.

Northern Constabulary is reminding fans that it is a 7.15pm kick-off and there is likely to be traffic congestion on main routes into Dingwall.

Fans are also reminded that there is no parking for the general public at the ground and they are asked to make use of town-centre car parks.

Ross County have also warned that all ticket sales will cease at 2pm, or earlier than that should they sell out.
