A FORMER Highland League player is on the hunt for football coaches to work in the burgeoning US youth soccer scene.

Graham Munro, who played for Elgin City, Brora Rangers and Ross County, has spent the past five years working in the States.

Along with Rothes local Gavin MacPhee, Munro joined Boston-based Massachusetts Premier Soccer (MPS) in early 2007. The club provides camp, clinic and youth team programming for players of all abilities, in a tiered structure for ages six to 20 years old.

MPS currently employs 65 staff from the UK and Ireland and is the largest youth soccer club in North America. As it continues to grow, the demand for Scottish coaches is increasing with the club offering opportunities for individuals looking to advance their professional careers in the US.

Mr Munro said: "Since Gavin and I joined the organisation in 2007, MPS has expanded in and around Boston as well as launching successful franchises in New York, Florida, Maine and New Hampshire.

"As we continue to grow and expand, we are looking for motivated coaches to join our staff as we continue to offer the most professional development focused environment for young players."

MPS will be conducting staff interviews for potential candidates at Borough Briggs, Elgin, on Friday, October 7.
