Escaped prisoner remains at large

POLICE are continuing to put out an appeal for a man who escaped from custody at Tain Sheriff Court last week.

Michael Davidson (27), from Invergordon, remains missing after he escaped by climbing out of a window on Tuesday, September 25.

It is believed that he could be in the Wick area and while not regarded as dangerous, police say that if seen, he should not be approached and should contact them immediately.

He had been appearing in court on a number of charges, including assault, careless driving and attempting to defeat the ends of justice. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts or has seen Mr Davidson should contact police on 01349 882 222.
