Hundreds of fundraisers battled the elements to raise over £125,000 for charity.

Over 70 teams took part in Caithness Relay for Life at The Dammies in Thurso.

Despite heavy rain and gale force winds, participants trudged on through the night in aid of Cancer Research UK for 12 hours.

The event was the biggest of its kind in the country, with almost twice the number of participants of any other Relay for Life event this weekend.

They also broke another record when they held the biggest conga line ever organised in Scotland.
