DUNBEATH Harbour users have completed a successful community clean-up at one of the village’s tranquil tourist attractions.

After a call from the users to landward councillor Willie Mackay for a skip to help tidy up the harbour area, one was duly delivered and filled with the approval of

Highland Council’s TEC services department.

The venture was approved by the council’s waste management officer, June Ross, who is based in Dingwall.

She arranged with Kenny Gow, waste management officer at Seater landfill site, Bower, to have the skip delivered to Dunbeath.

Mr Mackay said: "This was a real effort turned in by the harbour users who take pride in their surroundings which are visited constantly by tourists and locals and I am pleased it went well."
