Driver fined at Wick court after using mobile phone on the move

A Reay man caught using his mobile phone while driving was fined £200 at Wick Sheriff Court earlier this week.

Jodi Forbes (40) also incurred six penalty points after he pleaded guilty by letter.

The first offender, of Keoltag Drive, Reay, was spotted by police driving his pick-up, in the village, on September 20, last year.

Forbes failed to take advantage of a fixed penalty and the case was automatically forwarded to the court.
