Anne Gunn, president of Spittal SWI, welcomed members to the May meeting.

After business was attended to, and arrangements made for the 50th birthday celebration in June, Anne then introduced Yvonne Maclean, a local dietician.

Yvonne gave an interesting and informative talk on the Eatwell Plate and then very ably answered members questions, which gave lots of food for thought.

Tea hostess was Linda Levack and raffle winner was Margaret Bremner.

Competitions were judged by Yvonne with results as follows – Lemon curd: 1 Heather Carberry, 2 Liz Hewitson. Small flower arrangement: 1 Sarah Holman, 2 Heather Carberry, 3 Elizabeth Holman, 4 Liz Hewitson.

The meeting was part-funded by the Halkirk District Benefit Fund.
