OWNERS of diesel vehicles in Wick are now experiencing the same benefits as their petrol counterparts as they are now able to fill up their vehicles for less than £1 a litre.
Tesco reduced its price of diesel to 99.7p across all of its 500 fuel stations across the UK, including at its base in Wick.
The move comes after the retail giant slashed the price of its petrol to 99.9p last month when diesel was 105.9p a litre.
The continuing rock-bottom price of crude oil has led to a supermarket price war at their filling stations.
Tesco’s Peter Cattrell said: “We know our customers really value low fuel prices and having diesel for 99.7p a litre will give our customers a big helping hand for the New Year.”
