Members of the ladies' section at Wick Golf Club now have the means to make a difference if they have to deal with a heart emergency.

A defibrillator, part-funded by Caithness Heart Support Group, was handed over by the group's treasurer, Caroline Macleod, to ladies' section captain Maureen Johnson, who presented her with a cheque contribution of £850 – plus a cash donation of £10 – towards the cost.

Also pictured at the Norseman Hotel in Wick are other members of both organisations.
