Curtain up on Wick play

IT’S curtain up tonight for the opening of the Wick Players’ annual Christmas play.

Once again the amateur dramatic society are taking on the work of playwright Sam Cree and this year’s performance of Family Fever has been given a distinct Caithness twist by director and players stalwart Drew Macleod.

The farce is sure to be full of laughs, hijinks and familiar faces during the four night run -the ideal cure for the winter blues.

The play deals with the yuletide festivities of 1968 in the Galbraith household and hilarity is- like Christmas- on its way.

Tickets are available from the Flower Patch in River Street, or on the door.

The show runs in the Assembly Rooms from today (Tuesday) until Friday.

*For a full review and pictures of the show see this week’s John O’Groat Journal.
