Crowds expected to turn out for Thurso’s fireworks display

THE skies above Thurso are to be lit up with the local Rotary Club’s annual fireworks display.

The event always draws thousands from across the county.

This year’s bonfire will take the form of a beacon created several feet off the ground for the first time.

It will be held tonight (Sat) at Thurso Harbour and Esplanade at 7pm.

There will also be novelty items for sale at the event which is entirely funded by donations.
