Crossroads pupils give Mey seniors some festive entertainment

Pupils at Crossroads Primary School attended the Mey and District Senior Citizens Club earlier this month, to entertain the members and spread some festive cheer.

The children confidently sang songs and recited poems to the packed hall. They then presented each member with handmade gifts and homemade baking.

Head teacher Lynne Swanson said: “I am extremely proud of the children and staff in our school. This year, we are developing our community connections as we recognise the important role that learning outwith the boundaries of the classroom can have on children.

“Crossroads is small school with a big heart and attending the citizen’s dinner reflects this.”

The school will host a Community Christmas Coffee Afternoon at Mey Hall on Tuesday, December 17, from 1pm to 3pm, and all memebrs of the community are welcome to attend.
