CAITHNESS Highland councillors were in good voice when they joined fellow members from throughout the region to support the annual Blythswood Christmas shoebox appeal.

Taking up the baton to lead a councillors' choir was Royal National Mod medal winner and Melvich Gaelic Choir conductor Raymond Bremner, while Caithness civic leader Willie Mackay brought some seasonal cheer by dressing up as Santa Claus.

Also in the choir were Caithness councillors Karl Rosie, Matthew Reiss, Struan Mackie and Andrew Sinclair.

The choir members, including council chief executive Donna Manson, took time out of a busy full council meeting and gathered in the council chamber during the lunch break to be filmed singing The Twelve Days of Christmas.
