Dunbeath Heritage Museum is displaying Coronation-themed art by local primary and nursery schoolchildren.

Included are a large, almost two-metres in size, collage of King Charles III's head by all the children, along with suncatchers and silhouettes that portray him as well. There are also colourful profiles of the King inspired by legendary American pop artist Andy Warhol. Dunbeath P1 – 3 created natural sceptres and crowns, collecting the materials as part of outdoor learning from the woods of Dunbeath Castle.

Dunbeath primary school teacher Amanda Mee-Shipman said: "All the children had a brilliant time creating the artwork and it is now proudly on display in Dunbeath Heritage Centre. A massive thankyou to all involved."

The creative materials were funded by a joint community bid including Dunbeath Centre, Dunbeath Heritage Centre, Dunbeath and Berriedale Council and Dunbeath and Berriedale Development Trust.
