An event in Thurso aims to encourage contractors to find out about opportunities to work with Cairn Housing Association in Caithness.

The housing groups says that more than 700 of its units in the county require services for a five-year programme of works. The required services include kitchen and bathroom upgrades, heating and energy efficiency works and windows, roofing and other external improvements.

A spokeswoman for Cairn said: “We would like to invite local contractors and construction companies to discuss future work opportunities.”

The open day event will include an introduction by Tony Orr, maintenance manager for Cairn, and Simon Campbell, property investment manager. It takes place on Wednesday, September 27, from 10am-2pm at the Park Hotel, Thurso.
