Concerns for woman as emergency services rush to coastal cliff near Thurso

Emergency services have rushed to a coastal cliff near Thurso after concerns were raised for a woman.

Police, RNLI lifeboat, coastal rescue teams and helicopters are understood to be attending the scene at Victoria Walk in Thurso Bay.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 6.15am on Friday, March 29, police received a report of concern for a woman at the cliffs in the Victoria Walk area of Thurso.

“Emergency services remain at the scene.”

A spokeswoman for HM Coastguard said: “We received a police request at 6.20 am this morning after reports that a person had gone over the cliff.

“This is a police incident.”
