Caithness Family History Society (CFHS) has a meeting on December 12 at which a popular boat tour company will give an illustrated presentation.

Although the popular boat tours by Caithness Seacoast Ltd have finished for the season, you don’t have to wait till next April to see some of the stunning caves, castles, geos, natural arches and havens around our

coastline.

William Munro, who run the tours with his wife Adelaine, will be at CFHS' December meeting, where he will give an illustrated presentation. William’s in-depth knowledge of the area’s geography, and its Viking and clan history, promises a very interesting evening for members and non-members alike.

The meeting is at 7pm on Tuesday, December 12 in Wick’s Nethercliffe Hotel. There will be the opportunity to have a cuppa and a blether afterwards. The society’s books will be available for anyone looking for Christmas gifts.

Date for your 2024 diary: The January CFHS meeting is quite early in the month, Tuesday, January 9, and will be held at 7pm in the West Church Hall, Thurso. The subject is the Caithness Broch Project.
