Closure fear as ward beds taken out of service

A FURTHER cut in occupied bed numbers at Wick’s Town and County Hospital have fuelled fears that NHS Highland is gearing up to close the hospital’s inpatient ward.

The health board yesterday confirmed reports that the ward, which over the past year has seen beds reduced from 16 to eight, has had another three taken out of service.
