Cheques totalling £1000 handed over to two Caithness organisations

TWO Caithness organisations have benefited from the £1000 raised by the Wick Seaforth Club following its annual Boxing Day sports tournament.

The Friends of East Caithness Cemeteries and Amenities Group, which helps look after and keep tidy cemeteries on the eastern side of the county, received a cheque for £500. Donnie Miller, one of the volunteers said the money would be very useful as machinery needs to be serviced, repaired or replaced.
