Two charities will benefit from a Christmas jumper day at Thurso High School arranged by sixth-year pupil Olivia Warner as part of her leadership award.

Pupils and staff were invited to wear a festive sweater as an alternative to the school's dress code and to make a donation for the privilege. The sum of £320 was raised and this will be split equally between Save the Children and Caithness FM Toy Appeal.

Olivia is the school's deputy head girl.
