Both males are of Asian appearance. The first is in his early twenties, about 5ft 5in in height, plump, with short dark hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a grey jumper and a grey jacket.

The second male is in his fifties, 5ft 4in in height, with short dark hair and possibly a moustache. He was described as smartly dressed in a dark suit and jacket.

A distraction theft of the type that occurred in Castletown involves the cashier being asked to exchange a large quantity of notes for smaller denominations. Whilst the cashier counts the notes, the person then distracts or confuses them in order to steal some of the cash.

Businesses are warned to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity, not to be distracted by customers and to take care in counting money handed over before placing it in the till.
