Muriel is a regular and popular speaker at the Society’s meetings. She will tell of her discoveries about Castlehill harbourmaster William Baikie, who lived at the heyday of the flagstone industry in Castletown. CFHS committee member Anna Rogalski said: "Muriel is a seasoned researcher, who leaves no stone unturned in her efforts to find out as much as possible about each subject she undertakes. Her portrait of Baikie will undoubtedly be an interesting one."

To register for the event, which is at 7pm on Tuesday, January 10, email caithnessfhs@btinternet.com before Monday, January 9.
