TWO cars went off the road on Friday morning as icy driving conditions affected Caithness for the second day running.

The two vehicles left the B876 Wick to Castletown road at Sackville, near Bower.

Both cars were damaged and came to rest just yards away from each other. Police attended at the scene.

On Friday morning Northern Constabulary said all roads in its area were open although some were affected by ice and in some areas a light covering of snow.
