A WICK woman smashed a car window after getting caught up in a disturbance, the town's sheriff court heard today.

Shauna Cassidy admitted causing the damage on August 19 and a previous record of offending.

The 38-year-old was allowed three months in which to demonstrate she can behave.

The court was told that the incident in Cairndhuna Terrace, Wick – the accused lives in that street – was captured on CCTV.

In addition witnesses had seen Cassidy grab a pole from someone else and strike the rear window of the car.

Solicitor Fiona MacDonald told Sheriff Lindsay Foulis that Cassidy had not been before the court since 2017 and added: "If she stays off the drink and learns to keep her temper under control, you won't see her here again."
