Car crash on A882 near Watten

Earlier this afternoon emergency services were called to the site of a "one car road crash" on the A882 road east of Watten.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.50pm on Tuesday, 13 April, police were called to a report of a one-car road crash on the A882. Emergency services are in attendance and there are no reports of any injuries. The vehicle will require an uplift.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted by police at 12.55pm on Tuesday, April 13, to reports of a one-vehicle road traffic collision on the A822 east of Watten, Caithness.

“Operations Control immediately mobilised two appliances to the scene. Two passengers were extracted from the vehicle by emergency service partners and handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service."

Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.
