Calling all Caithness poetry lovers

New year, new interest or maybe just an opportunity to share your love of poetry with a new group in Wick.

Starting next week, on Wednesday, February 5, a poetry group will have its inaugural meeting in St John’s Church, Moray Street, Wick at 11.30am - 1pm.

Lyn Ball from the poetry group said: “Bring along a favourite poem to read out loud and share why it is special to you.

“It could be a poem from your childhood, school days, heard on the radio and took your fancy or a piece of writing which expresses feelings, ideas, or a story.

“It could be humorous, sad, thought provoking or mean something special to you for whatever reason.”

Those participating are invited to take along their own coffee or water bottle if they wish. A donation would be appreciated.
