Caithness Triple C Country Music Club announces its band of the year

A Wick group has received prizes for a band of the year award after a vote from local members saw them come out on top.

Harper Country Band won the Caithness Triple C Country Music Club Band of the Year award for 2023. The presentation always runs a year behind, date wise, as members vote for their favourite band at the end of each year.

The presentation took place during the Christmas club night in Harpers Function Room.

Meanwhile, the club handed over its annual charity donation at the event. This year they gave £600 to the John O’Groats Development Trust for the children’s playpark fund.

The fund has now reach over £103,000 and they will shortly be applying to the Stroupster Wind Farm community fund for additional funding.
