Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross MP set for constituency tour

Jamie Stone is preparing to set off on a tour of his Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross constituency over the next couple of weeks.

Starting on Monday, August 14, the Liberal Democrat MP will have meetings with businesses and stakeholders across the area and will also attend a dozen surgeries in Sutherland.

Mr Stone said: "The summer recess is a time I really look forward to in the year. It is one of the few breaks in the parliamentary schedule that allow me to travel the vast distances necessary to meet with constituents from all corners of the constituency.

"It is a real privilege to have the opportunity to see the beautiful landscapes and to catch up with familiar and new faces."

Mr Stone's surgery dates:

  • Tuesday, August 15 – 10am-11am, The Hub, Bonar Bridge; noon to 1pm, Rosehall village hall; 2.30pm-3.30pm, Shin Suite, Lairg Community Centre.
  • Wednesday, August 16 – 11am to noon, Assynt Leisure Centre, Lochinver; 2.30pm-3.30pm, Drumbeg village hall; 5pm-6pm, Library Room, Scourie village hall.
  • Thursday, August 17 – 10.30am-11.30am, Citizens Advice Bureau, Kinlochbervie; 1pm-2pm, Durness village hall; 4.30pm-5.30pm, Bettyhill village hall.
  • Friday, August 18 – 11am to noon, Kyle Centre, Tongue; 3pm-4pm, Strathy village hall.
  • Tuesday, August 29 – 11am to noon, Armadale village hall.
