Quoybrae, Aberdeen & Northern Marts on Monday, October 23, sold 102 weaned calves and store cattle, 14 breeding cattle, 3770 prime, store and breeding sheep.

Weaned calf bullocks (32) averaged 274p to 342.4p for 257kg Charolais Crosses from Folly Far, Murkle and £1120 for a 322kg Charolais cross from Tacher, Latheron.

Weaned calf heifers (32) averaged 294.9p to 365.5p for a 249kg Limousin cross from 108 Kirtomy, Bettyhill and £1100 gross for a 467kg Aberdeen Angus cross from The Ha, Auckengill.

Store bullocks (17) sold to 296.8p for a 443kg Charolais Crosses from Tongside £1390 gross for a 484kg Simmental cross from Cruithni.

Store heifers (21) sold to 283.8p for a 458kg Simmental Cross and £1480 gross for a 523kg Simmental cross from Cruthni, Tofts.

Breeding Cattle (14) sold to £3700 from Tister, Halkirk.

Prime lambs (1325) averaged 248p to 298.9p for a 45kg Suffolks and £140.50 gross for 58kg Texels from West Durran, Castletown.

Store lambs (1421) averaged £67.15 and sold to £140 for Two Black Cheviot ewe lambs Sunray Cottage.

Breeding sheep (311) sold to £172 for a English Mule Gimmer from West Lyth, Lyth.

Breeding Rams (47) sold to £700 twice for a Texel Shearlings from The Ha, Auckengill and Clyth Mains, Lybster.

Feeding ewes and rams (666) averaged £77.82 and sold to £280 for a Texel from Lynegar, Watten.
