Caithness prepares for very windy week

GUSTS of up to 65 mph are set to batter Caithness on Sunday with winds not expected to ease down during next week.
Wick will see gust speeds peak at 65 mph 4pm on Sunday morning and will remain at 60mph at midnight tonight.
Gusts speeds will remain constant and are predicted to only decrease to 40mph by midnight on Tuesday but will increase to 50mph on Wednesday and 60mph on Thursday on the east coast.
In Thurso, gust speeds will peak at 57mph on Sunday and will be between 40 -50 mph during Monday.
Tuesday should see gusts in Thurso die down to 30mph but will increase later on in the week peaking at 52 mph on Thursday.
