KIRKWALL SHERIFF COURT: Caithness man in threats to barman and police officer in Orkney weekend trip
A young Caithness man threatened a barman, brandished his fists at him and challenged him to fight during a weekend visit to a popular Kirkwall howff.
Cameron Andrew Young went on to repeatedly push the individual, utter further threats of violence, again challenge him to fight and shout and swear at Skipper's Bar in Bridge Street, the town's sheriff court heard on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old later verbally abused and uttered threats of violence towards a female constable at Kirkwall police station.
Young, of Dempster Street, Wick, pleaded guilty via his solicitor to three charges of threatening or abusive conduct and one of assault on Saturday, June 25.
He also admitted wilfully or recklessly pulling flowers from plant pots at the Kirkwall Hotel and stealing seven glasses from Skipper's.

Young also admitted previous convictions.
Sentence on him was deferred until September 28 for a personal appearance.
