A YOUNG Caithness Highland dancer has passed her associate teachers exam. Hannah Rosie, a pupil at the Thurso-based Mina Mackay School of Dance, received the award after 15 years of what was described as "hard work and commitment."

Hannah has been dancing since she was three years old. A club spokesperson said: "She has been a great asset to the dance school and over the past four years Hannah has been helping Mina and Aileen Simmonite at classes with the younger dancers. This qualification is a great reward for all Hannah’s hard work and commitment to dancing over the last 15 years.
